The "10-year integrated batteries" mean in exactly two years it will blast at 2 am for no reason. Then it will do it again a few more times until you finally throw it away because your heart can't handle it. Enshittification came for smoke alarms.

I had nest smoke alarms that just expired and they told me quite frequently! They don’t make them any longer so I replaced them with smart first alert ones.
