Can someone ELI5, why every single gaming PC review I do, MULTIPLE people chime in about Star Citizen? "Would this be a good rig to play SC?" "Wow, SC would run really well with that much RAM." "You should benchmark SC next time."

I pray that if someone ever tricks me to the tune of $1B on a game that is never coming, I'm aware enough to realize I've been had.

One last thing. I could play those games on 32 GB of ram but I would need to close absolutely everything that was unnecessary for games. Not a big deal for me but it was annoying that I had to close my automatic backup application for example. Most of that I feel is sadly Windows 11 hunger for ram.

I only upgraded to 64 (before rampocalypse phew) so that I can play and stream said games. Otherwise OBS would crash. Since then I moved to Bazzite and it was the best decision of my life. But still a lot of folks are on windows so for certain scenarios I would say 64 might be a nice upgrade

One thing if I may chip in on 64 GB of ram is not needed for gaming. Yes you are completely right. But I've had situations where 32 wasn't enough. For example STALKER 2/ Escape From Tarkov and said SC take a lot of ram. Combine it with win 11 ram hunger + maybe streaming and you are up for disaster.
