I’m a good 'ol web designer+developer who never learned React et al (and who only learned about Interop last year). From my POV, I kinda liked that browsers were working together to create stuff that people want. So, I’m curious to know why you think it isn’t helping as much as people think.

Apple has been dragging their feet on web features for like 14 years because, even though they championed web tech when they launched Safari, web clips, etc, as soon as iOS was a hit they pivoted their corporate goals to promote native app development.

Wow. I had no idea. You’re right. We can do SO MUCH better. I hope Interop 2025 is more transparent. Thank you so much for all that you do for the web, Alex! I always learn a lot when reading your posts on ‘Infrequently Noted’.
