Healthcare has become a luxury item in a country full of people who can no longer afford luxuries. Makes you wonder. Is the system broken? Or is it doing exactly what it was built to do: keep the sick desperate, the healthy scared, and the rich reaping the profits?

doin just what it's designed to do -- and the dems having a chance to do something about it decided it was better to have people suffer so they'd vote for them instead of the orange demon -- they are sick f'ers.

It is, quite literally, 'your money or your life'. If we, as Americans, don't believe that healthcare is a right, we will be forever screwed. Once we decide that universal healthcare -- not universal insurance -- is a right, then we'll figure out how to do it. Ask the question first.

My dentist would do basic health checks, blood pressure, heart rate, pulse ox during my twice yearly cleaning. She said: "This is because men in general don't go to the doctor until something is wrong but they go to the dentist twice a year." That was in 2011, I imagine affordability is the reason

They want to kill us, but they're too cowardly to just do that outright. What we're seeing is the people 20 years ago that in isolated online communities and chat rooms deciding the "problem" with society was there were too many people and we need a "good cull". They now make national policy.

The 8 year car loans and 50 year mortgages are the other arrow in that quiver. Because these troglodytes understand less population = higher demand meaning more freedoms for those that survive. This leads to less profits for the shareholders. So they'll put the survivors in economic slavery.

This is the inevitable result of privatizing healthcare and tying healthcare to employment Either we will all suffer and die under the weight of our increasing healthcare costs while the rich get richer on the money we pay to try to stay alive, or things will change This is not sustainable, though

I think you nailed it. It's been stated before, of course. Health care allows a freedom. I had to choose a different course in my life because of health insurance. They (the very rich, the GOP) want this freedom taken. The "Man" wants to keep us down.

I hear your math, no argument there. BUT if you have a regular Lexapro prescription, you DO have a preexisting condition. It didn’t come up on your ACA application bc they cannot be used to determine eligibility. Because if the ACA! Yet.

The Employer based Healthcare delivery system is a 75 y/o antiquated sysem that is neither effective or efficient. Seize the Day and advocate for a single payer system administered through the Medicare delivery system that's already set up...just change the enrollment age to "at birth"....

While I agree with you, that would never win politically. My argument 20 years ago was that we have a default insurance that covers everyone & you can opt-out. If you want to buy your own, either via your employer, or on a marketplace, you would get a tax credit for the cost of the default plan.

The "i lIKe mY iNsUraNce" cries were deafening 15 years ago. As were the "dEmS aRE StEalINg yOUR hEaltH INSUraNcE"! Still, just under half of Americans get insurance from their employer. More political effort goes into maintaining their care than the under 20% that gets non-group or is uninsured.

I could never figure out why dental and vision aren't covered as healthcare. Are your eyes and teeth not part of your body? Don't they impact your health, and doesn't your health impact your teeth and eyes? It is a known fact that your teeth impact cardiac health. Diabetes affects your eyes.

all hands on deck prepare to be a super voter vote every time, vote blue down the line 💙 democracy includes rule by the majority of people and protection for the minority of people ... it's kind of that simple

That Capitol switchboard number is (202) 224-3121 and provide the operator with the name, Speaker Mike Johnson, and <your Republican Congressional Rep.> Explain your family's situation, and those of your neighbors • healthcare costs • food costs • housing costs • business environment • your future
