The goals of a capitalist society are opposed to the goals of humanist society. Think about that the next time you're admiring a billionaire while ignoring the massive amounts of pain and suffering to other humans they likely caused as they became, and as they continue to exist as a billionaire.

Man, if the woman at the beginning of The Social Network had just taken one for the team and fucked Mark Zuckerberg, the world would be such a better place right now.

NO! Walter Koenig, who played Pavel Chekov in the original Star Trek series (among many, many other things), died. RIP, sir. To his friends and family, and the millions of Star Trek fans around the world, I grieve with thee.

What makes me sad is that we're going to have to spend so much time, energy, and money to un-fuck what Trump and the GOP have done. Those are resources that could have helped move humanity forward, or solved real problems, to say nothing of the hit to our reputation around the world. What a waste.

Can I tell you how good it felt to vote against Greg Abbott, Ken Paxton, Dan Patrick, and every other piece of shit fucking Republican on the ballot here in Texas. Fuck all of you disgusting Republicans. May you know comfort any day for the remainder of your days.

Doctor's appointment, going to vote (Sidenote: Sorry, Republicans, but your text messages did not convince me to vote for any of you in Texas), and then off to work. It's a full Monday.

Poor Andy Harris (R-MD). He's just out here trying to live his best life, spin the lies he's been told to spin, and get reelected so he can continue to do absolutely nothing for the people in his district who don't happen to be wealthy and/or sexual predators. Poor guy gets laughed at all the time.

Noted dip-shit meat-head Joe Rogan is just now figuring out that Donald Trump is a lying liar who lied to all of us, and he, along with the credulous chads, dude-bros, incels, and assorted other fuck-wits who listen to his show were gullible enough to believe those lies.

Headquarters@headquartersnews.bsky.social

Joe Rogan: What Trump stood for, some of it turned out to not be real. Like 'no wars.' We're at a war with Iran, so that wasn't real. It's nuts to just give someone a $50,000 ICE signing bonus, you train them for seven weeks, and you have a militarized force running through the fucking city streets

Some of these Republicans have taken some bold strategies in an effort to get elected or reelected. I have to admit, I wouldn't have thought of yelling at my constituents in an effort to win their votes. I guess we'll see if this maneuver pays off for him.

Translation: "87% of Republicans are willing to sell out the country by putting a guy they don't even like in the Senate to keep their political power."

Raider@iwillnotbesilenced.bsky.social

87% of Republicans support Ken Paxton the guy that's SO CORRUPT he gave a sweetheart deal to a child abuser, was impeached by his own party and reported to the FBI by his own employees.

Well, there you go everyone! The stable genius has solved all your affordability problems. In order to save your money, all you have to do is stop...eating.

Jennifer Shin - WTAF@jennifershin.bsky.social

Well duh... what other result was even possible? Believing that he's some kind of business genius when almost every business he's created has failed and he's filed for bankruptcy multiple times is the epitome of blind, willful ignorance.

Make this make sense.

RFK Jr announces a new initiative to kick people off their healthcare coverage but insists it's no big deal because "they don't even know they were enrolled in anything. They never make a claim."

What if...and I'm just spitballing here, what if instead of not punishing the criminals in positions of authority when we can, what if we...stay with me...what if we punished them to the fullest extent of the law? We've tried not punishing them. It's time to try something different.

Slowly but surely a Trump voter in my life is starting to understand. The other day she said to me, "It's like the government wants us all dead. It didn't used to be like this. We used to have laws to protect us. What happened?" I'm telling you, she's right there. She's almost figured it out.

Fun fact: Ukraine is our ally.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Trump and Musk are doing everything they can to try and force Ukraine to surrender to Putin while Musk spends over $300 million to try and buy the midterm elections to maintain total power. The American government under Republicans are on the side of evil. Vote them out.

As a teenager in the late 80s, I knew Trump was a complete fucking asshole and utter moron. I never could understand why so many people thought he was cool and smart. He was never, ever either of those things.

There's a billboard not far from where I live that always - ALWAYS - has a pro-Republican message on it. The message it's displaying now is about how James Talarico wants to let criminals out of prison. I guess they've not heard about Adam Hoffman and how Paxton helped him get out of prison?

In case you needed YET ANOTHER reason to not vote for the disgusting, grifting (almost-certainly) criminal, Ken Paxton.

Team Talarico@teamtalaricohq.bsky.social

UNEARTHED: Ken Paxton caught on video partying with fugitives in Dubai. The fugitives were charged with healthcare fraud and helped bankroll Paxton’s campaign.

Hi, MAGAs! Those of us who aren't ignorant, undereducated sheep are going to vote a lot of GOP assholes out of office. Then, we will start repairing the damage the rogues' gallery of pedoes, criminals, grifters, con-men, and their enablers you put in office caused. Have the day you voted for, dicks.

How many times will we have to be taught the lesson that when you do not hold people accountable for shit, you create opportunities and incentive for them to do the things they should have been held accountable for again?

And Republicans would love nothing more than to end any kind of assistance to people who need it because nothing says "I love my country" quite like starving 40 million of your citizens because you refuse to mandate that they have a livable wage.

AW Sylwester@aw-sylwester.bsky.social

It still amazes me that people thought this guy - the guy who surrounds himself with gold and has never worked an honest day's work in his life - would be the working class's savior. What about this man makes you think he cares one tiny squirt of piss about the people he deems are beneath him?

darren32359.bsky.social@darren32359.bsky.social

I honestly can't get JD Vance out here begging for a "2nd chance" from the voters out of my head. No one in the history of history has ever begged for a second chance unless they knew they fucked up the 1st chance they were given. The crazy part? A lot of voters will give them that 2nd chance.

If he paraded the entirety of Seal Team Six in front of the box, had a brigade of M1A1's patrolling the streets, parked the Nimitz carrier group in the Comal River (near my house), and had First Fighter Squadron with fully loaded F-15s and F-22s flying overhead, I'd still vote against Republicans.

I suppose with the destruction of Russia data centers, the ignorant and the uninformed will have to resort to calling or texting each other to maintain their infrastructure of hate. Just like the old days.

Man, I cannot wait for this guy to be a senator!

Team Talarico@teamtalaricohq.bsky.social

James Talarico: I've heard credible reports that Ken Paxton has a serious medical condition that causes clinical levels of cowardice. That's why I haven't heard from him after 85 days when I first challenged him to a debate publicly. We're awaiting his answer.
