Girl, I only went out with 2 guys in HS in the 70s where the situation didn’t end up in date rape. It didn’t  start with the fraternities. It started younger, and because these boys/men were never held accountable for their actions, only elation for their successes.

Abuse all the way around. I drug a frat-fuk outta of a party at his frat house by the throat after I saw him get upset with a girl, manhandle her to the door, and throw here down the porch steps. I fukkin lost it, man.

They all need to be fired at Cornell! From 2018-2024, 250 rapes reported at Cornell obviously, biggest cover-up, no consequences!

I think we can all say that Cornell has reached the "end of their day" with fraternities. We can also say that todays facts and evidence are superior to future studies.

Why are we only MEN speaking here. Were any women faculty there? Did they have a chance to speak? And, NO, fraternities cannot be trusted because they are run by testosterone fueled drunk & entitled BOYS who think it’s funny to hear someone get raped & who know their rich Dads will protect them.

Suspend all fraternities, first. Investigate, second. Based on the investigation’s findings, close all fraternities. Or just close all fraternities.

Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting, he needs to resign or else be removed and barred from holding another position like this in the future. Ban frats, Ban Greek life as a whole and stop these men from creating space for predators to roam free without consequence.

It's not an "emotional" decision. Just get rid of them. Who needs them? There are 1000s of other ways to engage with the campus socially without fraternities. Universities are there to help you learn to think for yourself and you want to pledge to some old boys club...?

So... gonna do nothing then? Some grad student is tasked with the research but needs a larger sample group? Cowardice.

I'm not an expert (thankfully) but it seems to me like a lot of fraternities exist to create a pack mentality among mediocre adolescent males who have rarely been told "no" in their lives and who already thought they were entitled to take whatever they wanted but now they can do it in a pack.

Deciding to ban rapists from campus shouldn’t be done more than a year after they’ve raped someone because that would be an “emotional decision”?

Will security be available to all the women on campus?

At the end of the day, or the end of the year?

I mean, women know that this is literally the world we live in regardless of where we live, what college we’ve attended, what job we’ve had, what street we walk down, what background we have. Men appalled are just waking up to our world.

Well, Cornell has always been quick to roll over … look at what it did for 47 not that long ago, or it’s islamophobic surveillance, censure and sanctioning of Muslim, Palestinian and allied students? This behavior of enabling abuse and violence has long been part of the culture at Cornell.

Did they give those students that opposed genocide and protested on campus the same consideration? Absolutely not, because those where brown and Muslim people over there and of no concern of Cornell and its zionists donors.

Ban all fraternities and sororities.

We have a national debate about fraternities every decade. They cannot exist in a safe environment. It’s time to eliminate Greek life from academia.

I sympathize with her. The university should be sued for having out of control Greek parties on their campus and for their cops for not doing their jobs for shutting them down. But I am not going to one of these mobs calling for these young men's blood.

How many of the administrators who instructed rapists to write a book report about it - still have their job?

I like that we are finally Systematically reviewing the rules & structures in place to guarantee a safe campus, everyone follows the rules or there are clear strict severe penalties. Long over due👍
