calling all the "sign in with Atmosphere" freaks, check out @anisota.net's new login experience and tell me what you think — this isn't a flow or pattern i'd recommend for every app, but it is an example of an opinionated one for just this app! video attached, or try it for yourself: anisota.net

totally forgot to include in the screen recording that there is an “i” info button on the sign in screen that brings up a helpful explainer about how the Atmosphere OAuth works in @anisota.net here it is on mobile:

just a small nitpick, but I would change "Your Host" to "Your Provider". I personally don't think people understand what a "host" is, but when they hear "provider" they will think "internet provider" or "cellular network provider", which is pretty analogous to a PDS from a credible exit standpoint

info box available during @anisota.net’s sign in flow, explaining atmosphere OAuth at a high level in terms most people can understand better

Nice info! Not sure if this UI is for an already signed in user who granted permissions. If not, it might be clearer if instead of “anisota can” it said “anisota needs permissions to”

The login is good, but this screen is clutch. It is incredibly jarring to get dumped out into the Bluesky OAuth screen and I know what is going on. Keeping it all in one place is one of those small things that punches way above its weight IMO
