Wow. MCPs being stateless really does reinforce the parallels with web APIs. This feels just like 2013! The innovation (and the capabilities and business it opens up) is so exciting.

The interesting part of MCP 2026-07-28 is a removal. No handshake, no session ID header, no sticky routing. Servers scale horizontally the way HTTP has always scaled. We shipped support for it on day one. claude.com/blog/bringin...
