I've used a custom timer for quizzes/tests mostly because I didn't like the timers showing the number of seconds counting down. My first version was hand coded and rudimentary. Then a CS student rewrote it for me and I used that version for several years.

Over the past couple of months I had AI make improvements (after much back and forth), first a set of themes and now a white noise generator. I used to play the same white noise track from Spotify; now it's built into the timer. Give it a try & maybe a bookmark? recursiveprocess.com/newtimer.html
