100%. Single box compute can be so fast now with nvme ssds we’re likely going to see many more things getting to prod in SQLite. I think it can replace redis

to be fair, we all use software powered by SQLite every single day. It's perception as a dev database keeps it the best saved secret in our industry

We used it extensively at 1Password. I just wasn’t aware that Bluesky used it much.

I’m not sure that perception is so prevalent these days. It’s a very reasonable choice, especially for something like a PDS where Bluesky is running many instances and want to make it simple for folks to run their own.
