I need your help! I am removing this did:plc and migrating to my own did:web on Cloudflare. Removing as much of the centralised crap of atproto as I can. Can y’all please share and follow @rawkode.dev instead of this account?

Why isn’t there an ATProto app that can just let me subscribe directly to people’s repos and cut out all the AppView centralised bullshit? I think I’m leaning back to ActivityPub these days, I’m definitely using BlueSky less and less.

How did I have no idea that CEO of DeepMind was a developer on Theme Hospital, Black & White, and Republic: the Revolution ? Smacked right in my childhood with that knowledge!

> In a world of AI coding assistants, is code from external contributors actually valuable at all? Great question and the answer is no, not really. Contributions are now the ideas and discussions for the direction and experience of using software, coding can be written by robots.

tldraw.devStay away from my trash! - tldraw: Build whiteboards in React with the tldraw SDKThe tldraw SDK provides tools, services, and APIs to build beautiful whiteboards and infinite canvas applications with real-time collaboration and a powerful React-based canvas.

What I love most about AI is the use-case for personal software. I now have a collection of Stargate themed apps for my desktop. Kree brings my most missed Linux feature to macOS, focus follows mouse. I don’t need to promote it, sell it, it doesn’t even have a logo. It’s perfect.

I haven’t deleted my Twitter account just yet, but this crypto bags scam for AI influencers is likely the tipping point. People I respected are now grifting their meme coins to fund their bullshit and it’s just too much.

Taking a “real” job is never an easy decision, but the timing was right and the team at CoreWeave is awesome and they’re working with some of the coolest tech and biggest clusters I’ll ever see. Who could say no?

This is new

Watching everyone panic-migrate off Cloudflare to AWS/GCP because of a rough week is painful to watch. If you treat your critical infrastructure like a day trader treats a dipping stock, you get what you deserve: High bills. Broken configs. And a new set of outages next month.

"But Cloudflare was down!" Yes. And next month, us-east-1 will have a hiccup. Or GCS will have latency issues. Uptime is a probability game, not a guarantee. Moving to CloudFront isn't a "fix." It's just trading a flat-rate CDN for a variable-rate egress bill that will make your CFO cry.

You better share this post, because if we don’t get enough applications this doesn’t happen and if it doesn’t happen … It’s YOUR fault 😂
