30 years ago this evening (also a Monday) BBC2 showed the episode of 'The Car's The Star' about the Reliant 3-wheeler, which included 13-year old me as a young enthusiast with a terrible haircut, and the book I was writing www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzLn...

I eventually finished the book, 'Rebel Without Applause', while I was an undergrad—it was published in 2003 by Bookmarque who specialised in books on more obscure cars. Copies sometimes go for silly money www.abebooks.co.uk/book-search/... I think the only actual bookshop I ever saw it in was Foyles
I started work on vol 2, which would have covered Reliant from the launch of the Robin in 1973 up to the end of the company in 2001, but life (the need for a job!) got in the way. Now there's less need: there's a good selection of books on Reliant from people who've done the research.
