I genuinely don't know how valuable this sort of list is when you look at their data source - 5200 podcast listeners, across the entire quarter, interviewed once.

i feel like gravitating towards celebrity content might correlate with other cultural factors like overworking and the algorithmic takeover of open dialogue spaces. there’s just less opportunities to hear about niche content from real people.

I think that’s part of it but I also think we’ve gotten lazier and less likely to hunt for things/go off word of mouth!
