Literally owned by a cult since 2013 and spun into a stand-alone company in 2018 the day before the co-owner was indicted for fraud. The current co-owners are suing each other. It's not a real publication.

I've blocked Newsweek on every site I use for news aggregation. I highly recommend being aggressive about blocking garbage sites.
