It should be in the first paragraph that Dan J. is on the ballot without a party designation, and without INCUMBENT next to his name, instead of buried in paragraph 14 well under heinous nonsense. We're well past the point where journalistic malpractice has been the norm, but come on @reuters.com.

If someone wants the incumbent, sees (R) INCUMBENT on their ballot, and doesn't rank that person higher than the non (R) INCUMBENT on their ballot... maybe that's on them? Even if J's intention was to deceive, it's really easy to know what's going on here and I've no sympathy for anyone "fooled."
