SAD. And disgusting. Trump has NO INTEREST IN DEMOCRACY FOR VENEZUELA. An imperialist authoritarian has no interest in Democracy. He may take HER PRIZE as his (infantile piggishness). Expect Trump to sideline, dismiss, and humiliated Machado. The real role she expects will be thwarted.

The Committee has no enforceable power except to grant and rescind awards. They should change rules so that any use of the award, by dedication, physically giving, or other politicizing, results in the award being automatically rescinded. That's the only way to protect it from abuse.

The prize should not be rescinded. Machado is trying to defend her country & democracy by giving it to Trump. She still deserves it. You fight with the weapons you have.
