Endeavour didn't ruin Australian wine by accident. With Dan Murphy's and BWS dominating retail, it became a gatekeeper. Winemakers now sell on Endeavour's terms or not at all. It squeezes margins until small producers make wine to a price point instead of a place.

Yep, it’s disappointing to see. The same is true in the beer game. Basically any alcohol at this point isn’t it. The endless greed for acquiring and hoarding more and more wealth.

It fills shelves with house brands dressed up as boutique labels, and it has trained shoppers to see wine as a number rather than a region or a winemaker.

The result is a sea of interchangeable $15 bottles and growers pulling out vines. Endeavour didn't kill wine. It just made most of it taste like a quarterly earnings target.

They have net debt of $1.9bil, their underlying net profit is down 14.8%, and now they’re selling assets. Can you tell how much I detest them? Anyway, I’ve probably guaranteed I’ll never get a job with them with this post, but I’ll survive. Not sure the wine industry will though due to these fucks.
