On X, The Everything App, MVP is very insistent today that the Hurt Syndicate have not resisted doing jobs in AEW.

I mean, Shelton hasn't. But Bobby was definitely one of those, brawling down the ramp in a three way to have another team win the belts. What sucks is that Shelton was awesome when he first came into the company and it feels once Bobby came in, he was kinda made the second fiddle and fall guy.

Tony Kahn: Famous for putting hot acts on the shelf for being unselfish. "We demand to drop the titles back to Private Party!" Tony: "The tag team thats been here since day 1? No way man!"

Ok, let’s say that booking was wonky and they were trying to push younger talent forward, why isn’t Top Flight or some of the Shane Taylor Promotion members on AEW constantly? Fuck! Death Riders did more in two shows for them than anything. Hurt vs Rascalz getting trios titles as a freebie.

My biggest issue with Hurt Syndicate is that I really couldn't give three fucks about them. I was at about a 1/10 in the enthusiasm meter when they came in. Shelton is alright, particularly for a guy that age, but I never cared for MVP as a worker or a promo, and Lashley never did anything for me.

Then MVP would get on commentary and yell over everyone and downplay the opponents unlike a Don Callis who will go out of his way to praise the opponents and just say his family is better.

April 22nd is the last time the Hurt Syndicate lost, and it was to Ricochet and the Demand. And they immediately got their win back 2 days later at DON. Prior to that it was November 22nd of last year, when they challenged the Opps for the trios titles.

The last young team to get put over by beating them, without immediately getting the win back, was Brodido at Forbidden Door in August of last year. When FTR were the ones pinned.
