When you say warnings, please be more specific. Are you talking about warnings from AI insiders in order to lock in their power, or are you talking about the warnings from environmentalists and ordinary people about how the technology is fundamentally dangerous to the environment?

Its the same characters as always, criminals that do crazy stuff, the ai might make it easier for them, but it also makes it far easier for law enforcement to detect. A lot of this fear-porn over ai are simply attempts at regulatory capture, distraction, & psychological "marketing" for ai.
