I did it and made it into a mutual aid fundraiser for Lyndale School. People outside the state (and also the country; all my Canadian cousins) are jumping at the chance to have something tangible to do to help.

I’m taking 30 days off all social soon to see how it feels. Then deciding where and when to come back. Hate X, but also still feel an obligation to be a reasonable voice given my audience size there, but they make it harder to want to stay every day.

I do wish people would be more "honest" and drop the silly term, "people of color" and just say what it is: non-white.

terrific idea. feel like the national media "main signal" hasn't yet captured the way this onslaught is different in degree to Chicago/LA--permeating the daily lives of a bigger slice of the public by being more dispersed in a smaller city. soon most of us will have seen it personally.
