these are the only 2 legitimate ways to verify if images contain their own watermarks to determine if an image was created with either of those two services. there are loads of other ai image generators, so it's not a 100% way to tell, but it catches a lot of them.

i know of 2 ways to check if images have been thru openai & gemini, but there are still so many other ways to synthesize them and countless image generators. for openai, you just have to upload it here: openai.com/research/ver...

openai.comVerify OpenAI-generated contentVerify if an image or audio file was generated using OpenAI tools. Upload a file to look for provenance signals like C2PA metadata or SynthID watermarks.

Synth ID watermarks can confirm an image is AI but shouldn’t be used to prove a negative result.
