Redistricting: ✅ Red states slam it through without any input from voters. Courts are cool with that. ⛔️ Blue states get consent from voters. Courts are offended. How is it even possible for this country to exist anymore without radical changes?

The only way forward is for Democratic governors to gerrymander through state legislatures, just like Republican governors are doing.

The VA SCOTUS invalidated the map drawing *process*, but the very steps they reject were taken by LA just this week - and those steps were blessed by SCOTUS, saying that NOT to have done so was unconstitutional. I hope that there is a way to overrule this by appealing to federal courts.

The court overturned the will pf the voters. They are not legitimate anymore. They broke their oath to the constitution & law.

If o were VA legislature I would tell VA SC to suck it, re-district anyway, then let the gop tie it up in courts while new seats are filled. Then Dems can file for turning over the disenfranchising that will follow

Fuck it, ram it through the state house and senate like every other republican state is doing. All Virginians voted for this and the court is going to fucking ignore that.

I honestly don't understand. Democrats go to the voters and let them decide the maps and they vote on it. This is struck down by the courts. Republicans completely ignore the people and redraw maps without a vote and this is just ok. Why can't democrats say fuck it and just redraw themselves?
