MYTH: A slow release of election results means it can’t be trusted. FACT: Counting election results has always taken time and different factors can prolong the process. If you have questions about your ballot, call your election office. They have the answers.

As an election worker both at the polls (Precinct Inspector) and on my county's mailed ballot board - thank you. Citizens process the ballots in my county, open envelopes, inspect for errors which would prevent counting. We've processed 2000, will do another 2000 on Thursday. Everyones vote matters.

I worked in the elections office in Santa Barbara in 2002 during and after the election. It took nearly a month to fully count results. At every step we followed the law, and the processes we used did too. Observers from both parties watched the whole time.

The ONLY reason we pretend elections results have to be reported quickly is the TV networks demand they be allowed to call the election before west coast residents go to sleep. It's treated as a sporting event rather than the backbone of democracy. Another way STUPID capitalism fails America.

If you live in North Dakota with a population of 800,000 it’s easy to finish counting in a day. Los Angeles by itself is nearly 5 times more populous than all of N Dakota! So yeah, it takes longer to count ballots in states with more people. MAGA can’t wrap their tiny brains around this concept.
