BREAKING: In a victory for the White House, the Supreme Court allowed Trump's sweeping attack on mail voting to go forward, bringing him one step closer to implementing the order before the midterms. While the decision lifted a block that applied to some states, a nationwide block still remains.

This is insane. If it doesn't hit their pocketbook, SCOTUS is willing to roll over to Trump for increasingly illegal things. The Constitution doesn't even seem to get in their way. Unbelievable.

One party using its chokeholds on the three branches of government to make sure it never has to face the voters again. If they won’t let the people vote, we will need to take to the streets until we get our democracy back.

Please don't overreact to Roberts Court decision on the contemplated USPS ballot moves They simply held that the injunction came too early in the process, before there was a final rule👇 Now we HAVE a final rule & we will litigate it. I'm as confident in our arguments here as in any of our cases!

If this myopic decision stands, what Constitutional guarantees do we in "blue cities or states" have that the Administration will not "amend" the voter list to "change the voters" to favor Republicans? What, if any, remedies do we have against "games" of USPS for "limitiing or changing" the voters?

Is the goal to have the Election Stealing plan advice too far to stop it before the midterms, should the Supreme Court wind up ruling against the implementation in the end?

Seems like a great decision. Worrisome to think about the ways this horseshit will impact those with mobility and transportation issues. All this garbage from the orange felon who voted by mail every f’ing election.

It wasn't a final ruling - said it was premature because USPS had no policy yet. NOW, today, there IS a policy, and the attorneys are re-entering a new case based on the details. If they still allow Trump's perfidy, we go in person or do drop offs. If they don't, eff Trump. We will see.

I loved voting in person! Was there for Obama's first behind a Black family with a baby. I thought - wow, she will grow up with quite a wonderful story to tell! "I was there in my stroller for this!" I was so happy that night! This is great for you - you'll be part of something fine!

It's not challenged - they didn't rule because USPS hadn't actually finished writing the rules. They said "come back when they do" which, ironically, is the same damned day! Norm Eisen is optimistic they'll tell him to pound sand. 🤞

Americans should be able to over ride all the bull they’ve changed in the last 40 years to keep far right justices in power to control the country any wish way they want. It’s a lot of work but it can be done. Whose willing is another issue but it’s not impossible as they propagandize

Gee with crack pot justices like Roberts, Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett our Democracy is down the tubes. Their interpretation and upholding of our Constitution is so backwards it is scary. Our Senate will confirm anyone even those without a brain.

The US, per metrics, already a mid-tier, 2nd-world country having more in common with Eastern Europe than ADVANCED Scandinavia, is falling lower as many red states already look more like the 3rd-world. The US best be happy that the blue states are the only buoy keeping the country above water!

They need to implement intervention only in a few blue strong holds to mess with the elections. What are the practical consequences of today’s ruling. Does it give him an entry to meddle and by the time it’s remedied it will be too late!

With the country full of rage, taking away the vote will force an inflection point. Is the SC willing to watch and see if the Republicans’ attempt at trying to force a dictatorship will work or not. A tainted election is no election. Are enough people willing to rise up or continue to take it?

They blew it. Attorneys LIVE for this stuff! We who like the courts do the same. It's important NOT to react before our legal folks clue us in. That's how WE burn out - not understanding things. Be kind to yourself - wait for the analysis.

My understanding is that SCOTUS did not rule on allowing any changes to go forward, only for the admin to finishing drafting their rules. What I want to know is, will they again take up the legitimacy of, say, letting the postal service get involved in what is and is not a legit ballot?

Why is the Supreme Court making a decision on an executive order in the first place? An executive order is not a law. Isn't their job to determine if actual laws were correctly decided? Not fever dreams from a corrupt president.

One thing that people who care about our country and democracy need to remember is that the current regime and Republicans are doing what they always do but accuse other people of doing. Trying to cheat in elections. The other thing is they know what's coming and they will do anything to stop it.
