🧵 Early voting has begun in Colorado, and the outcome has important implications for the state’s democracy. An election denier is running to oversee state elections, and a GOP-backed attempt to heighten ID requirements for voting is on the ballot. Here’s what to know 👇

🪪 Election judges must confirm the numbers on mail ballots match information stored in a state voter registration database. Voters whose ballots don’t match could be disenfranchised if they don’t correct it in time.

🗳️ Wiley is campaigning on a state elections overhaul that includes limiting mail voting, implementing stricter voter ID rules, ending electronic ballots, and periodically purging state voter rolls.
