UPDATE: After facing immense legal pressure from our plaintiffs, USCIS is walking back parts of its policy to add a new $100,000 fee on H1-B visa petitions. This is a win for workers in America and a step in our case toward striking down this harmful “Innovation Ban” in its entirety.

BREAKING: We’re suing to stop President Trump’s latest anti-immigration stunt that slapped a $100,000 price tag on every H-1B visa application. This innovation ban has thrown U.S. employers that rely on H-1B to hire engineers, teachers, and doctors into chaos. This abuse of power must stop.

I don't think this an issue that should concern us. This involves elite people that are not really harmed by it. And they do take jobs that Americans would take, unlike the tens of thousands of manual workers being hunted down by ICE.

The H1B engineers and SW Devs I work with everyday are not stealing anyone's job. They are my friends, they are here with their families to become Americans. And share some great recipes. We work at a small company though, so perhaps that is a bit different than GM's situation for instance.
