In Brazil we say "só acaba quando termina" meaning "it only ends when it's over".

In Spanish: "hasta el rabo todo es toro". Literally, "It's a whole bull, up to the tail". It means that you must not be too confident until the event has ended, because it might still change. Told both as a cautionary advice and as an encouragement to try despite everything.
