Help me out here, I'm trying to sort out some half-remembered SF stuff from my teens and am having no luck with Google and would rather not have to start buying a ton of books just to search through them:

Does Brian Aldiss's _The Eighty-Minute Hour_ have a character who starts out about ten years old but gets stuck in a distant time for a while and is fully grown by the time she rejoins the main cast in the book's present? If not TEMH, then which book (by which author) am I half-remembering?

That entire subplot stuck in my mind because (as I recall it) it's uncomfortably rapey, but now I wonder if my memory is playing tricks on me. I've spent about an hour trying to find a summary of the novel, but the ones I found (Goodreads and the like) are too brief and vague.
