I was in a Starbucks the other week, and it was exactly this! I had to wait for the ads to cycle through before I could finish reading the menu. I ended up getting a flat white anyway, but that’s not the point!

It's funny you're the second person I've seen make this observation through their chosen medium recently. The first was Ryan George, on YouTube. I'm not complaining, I just think it's neat how often people who create humour recognise the same issues around the same time.
