Boring question: recommendations for printers? Need a new one, preferably colour, but mostly for printing off kid's homework. So probs doesn't need to be a laser printer.

I went with a colour laser, the Brother L8260 because no cartridge chips. The toner lasts forever, 4 years still on the ones from the box. I got my recommendation from this guy - urefilltoner.co.uk very friendly on email, but quite quite mad. Watch one of his refill instruction videos to see.

I got an Epson Ecotank a few months back to replace a hellish HP. Absolutely love it. Its inkjet but the ink lasts ages and the quality is excellent. It's not subscription based so they are priced a bit higher. Still cheaper than a laser. I couldn't justify the cost of one of them.
