I heard a story about a woman who saw that her 7 year old was upset that Dolly Parton died. She asked “you know who Dolly Parton is?” The child said, “well, she sent us books”.

I told the cashier at the local Kroger store when they were playing Jolene on the speakers that she gave away 300 million books. She looked at me incredulously - 300 MILLION? Yep. And even sent braille books to blind children She was floored Some people just don't pay attention.

I read a post by a woman who shared that, starting at the age of five, her blind son received a book in Braille every month from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. She described how much that meant to her and her son. It moved me to tears. As Trump and the Republicans mock disabled Americans.

Dolly is the example that all wealthy people should aspire to. A beautiful woman both inside & out. She gave of herself & her $. I’m not a Country music person, but I liked her music. I can’t believe how prolific she was, and the amount of songs she wrote for people & groups that I wasn’t aware of.

Go to web site for Library of Congress Division for Blind. With proper documentation anyone can get braille or talking books mailed to them. I worked there while in college.
