All the creepy text messages this year have convinced me that whether or not I returned my absentee ballot should be confidential until some point shortly after the election. It should be confidential up to the same time the lists of in-person voters are published.

I got a similar text aimed at Wayne County. It does have the benefit of me actually living in Wayne County.

Were you also threatened with Macomb County or did they pick a different one?
