The reason I'm asking is that I got the feeling that Claude Design is extremely repeatable. Like, it would have a bunch of prepared patterns it follows, orchestrated for a given case.

yeah I haven't used claude design but that wouldn't surprise me. been pretty happy with how impeccable helps direct things but you can still see the ai-of-it-all

With efforts impeccable can go quite beyond very ai-ish though—not always faster than by hand in my experience, but with quite some consistency. A bit like a boilerplate you decide to refine a lot or not.
