We need numbers that show the split for games that were available at launch both physically and digitally. And even then that might not tell the full story since supplies are often limited on the physical end.

How are they comparing these statistics anyways? Let’s be fair, Yes there’s way more digital games on PSN, including DLC than physical. Digital is infinite, Physical is limited. So yea, in summation - Digital would always outweigh Physical in any chart if they are lumping Digital sales altogether.

I want to preface this by saying that I’m on board with what you’re saying in this article. Consumers should have choices. That said, I don’t think the numbers for disc drive vs digital PS systems is helpful. It makes too many assumptions, and doing so makes the facts in your article sound weaker.
