Does it play?
@doesitplay.org

The #PSBlackout starts tomorrow! We want physical games to stay! A digital-only future without ownership & customer protection law is unacceptable! Log off, don't play, don't purchase, cancel subscriptions, become a ghost, until Sony realize their mistake! #PhysicalGamesMatter

This may be a solution. bsky.app/profile/newj...

So @playstation.com is pulling out of supporting / making physical discs. But why not allow 3rd party external Blu-Ray drives and publishers/developers to print their own discs? (Even Nintendo supports 3rd party webcams with Switch 2.) The issue is monopolistic, anti-consumer behavior.

Ditched PlayStation for GOG already, haven't turned the consoles on since the announcement was made. So I guess I'm in, even though nothing can bring me back at this point. Guess I need to find a landfill for the game collection at this point.

No problem. Since I bought a Switch 2, I haven't played on the PS5. I'll do it eventually for my physical games, but I'll turn it on probably in about two months or more.
