Disney's new Infinity Vision is the most "Yeah, well, I didn't want to go to your party because I am having MY OWN PARTY and it's AWESOME and we're going to have a PONY RIDE and you can't even come even if you want to so there" energy I've ever seen.

It reminds of when Disney-owned ABC made the Oscars do a special non-Oscar award just so Endgame could get it and then Justice League got it.

....that was the Academy.

The Academy hosted the Twitter poll to determine the winner of the award but if that move wasn't forcefully suggested by the Academy's Oscars broadcast partner Disney, I'll eat my shoes.

Hope: It puts competition in place for IMAX, leading to better quality theatrical experiences for both. Likely: An excuse for Disney to buy up failing theater/chain in order to open niche theaters for only their films.

I honestly dont see whats the big deal is. IMAX is a big market draw for films like this, but with that out of the way they gotta find another means so why not market to where "Hey, these theaters will have the best experience to watch these movies." Its just a stamp approval.

Also IMAX theaters are already like rare in NA as is unless you wanna travels hours away. This at least gives people another option to watch and enjoy this movie.

It's even funnier when you consider they don't even have the pony ride. They're just reclassifying the non-party stuff that was already in their home.
