No one should be afraid of him. He's showing right now that when it comes down to it, he'll throw communities under the bus if it's politically convenient. Not even elected and he's bending to pressure from the right. Really disappointing.

Simple answer: "This is not a real issue. No one is being hurt by this, except the trans people you want me to dismiss. Let's talk about the way billionaires are destroying this country actively if we want to talk about real community harm." And then move on. It's not difficult.
