This is a weird period of the year where my film-friends are all starting to see the awards fare, and my non-film friends are getting some of the absolute worst “also ran” shit at the box office.

Saw STREET FIGHTER last night, and the trailer ring in front of it was like an extra-strength firehouse of absolute dogshit. Been a while since I saw six back-to-back trailers for things you couldn't even trick me into watching. Woooooof.

I feel so bad for my reps who I personally like, having to convince me that I should see Street Fighter when Denver Film Featival starts next week.

Even without festivals, I'm seeing WHALEFALL on Sunday, YOU WILL SEE EVERYTHING on Monday, and THE DEVILS on Tuesday. I'm watching a bunch of smaller 2026 festivals stuff to try to fill in gaps. It's an avalanche of movies. I went to STREET FIGHTER with my sons. I regret nothing. :)
