First one I am 100% sure of is BLACKBEARD'S GHOST in a '73/'74 re-release. I am told I thought it was "hilarious," but all I remember is the poster.

First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.

The first movie I remember seeing in a theater: GREMLINS It cemented my love of horror & comedy & fantasy & sci-fi. It inspired me to get the exclusive “movie on a record” collection from Hardee’s. And it showed me that said fantastical genres would be my storytelling muses for the rest of my life.
