The next target is likely to be Kimmel. ABC has over 20 national affiliates owned by far right Sinclair Broadcasting who have influenced ABC's decision to fire veteran reporter Terry Moran! Then that will lead to MSNBC with Maddow and O'Donnell.

CBS : “It’s a financial decision.” Translation : Trump’s squeezing Paramount’s balls.

Such a horrible political stab in the back to the 1st Amendment!

The beauty of this is not for Colbert, per se, but for the freaking " freedom of speech" cause in our constitution... Kudos to the Writers Guild....they are doing it for America, and writers

Because it is NOT just Stephen... it's the WRITERS, it's the CAMERAMEN, it's the PRODUCERS, DIRECTORS, MUSICIANS, SOUNDMEN, LIGHTING, AIDES, MAKEUP, WARDROBE, ALL the people that go into making that show...that are OUT OF WORK. Making AMERICA GREAT AGAIN... NOT. So much for freedom of speech.

I am sooooo sooooo happy to see the writers speaking out! I was concerned about the Dumpster somehow shutting him down. He's a great outlet for all this MAGA, Dumpster, Republican destabilization. We need Colbert!

It’s too bad the writers can’t simply say that the day Colbert is off the air is the day they stop writing for all CBS shows.

Trump just posted he’s celebrating Stephen’s firing and that Kimmel is next…what the heck is going on?!! Impeach Trump now!

I don’t like it either but real question: if the show was cancelled rather than him being fired and replaced, do they even have a leg to stand on?

Prosecutor Roy Cohn assisted McCarthy's investigations call McCarthyism. Cohn was Trump's lawyer and mentor. McCarthy went after CBS. Trump sues CBS, CBS fires Colbert🤷‍♀️

I'm sure Shari Redstone's merger deal that will make her rich is also a consideration.

He is better off not playing by the rules of traitorous CBS. Wherever Colbert will have a new show, it will be a greater hit than before
