Digital ownership could be a winning issue in the next US presidential campaign. I've been worried about digital movie ownership for years. People didn't realize they are only buying view rights, but that's changing. People are aware & angry. A brave leader could win on digitsl buyer's rights.

I hope, but I'm not optimistic. Every time I've explained it to people in the last decade+, they shrugged and said they don't care. Gonna suck when nobody can actually own a book anymore...

Books are harder to make people care about because most people don’t read, or they read a book only once and are done with it. Talk about how they don’t own their movie/TV library or games. And how sharing media is no longer possible due to industry greed.

Oh, I have. I'm the weirdo who's always preaching this kind of thing to my friends and family. They don't care because they either don't believe that it'll ever actually be taken from them or because they REALLY NEED to play the game or watch the movie and I'm a monster for suggesting they boycott.
