I live in KC in the part of the 5th that was gerrymandered into the “new 4th”. What happens to the Dem primary winner in the new 4th? Cleaver wasn’t on my primary ballot but will be on my general election ballot? What a mess!

Big, big win for Black representation. While there's a long way to go to reverse what was lost, this is absolutely a win.

The gerrymander itself is on the ballot again which means the map could be stuck the way it is though 2028 as well.

1) it’s a bad news cycle for them 2) it’s one more seat they will have to compete in 3) the more seats Dems get the better for committee breakdown
