my latest bouquet is at the very end of its usable life, with mold beginning to emerge around the middle of the flowers' stems. I'll throw it away quite soon, but around this point is when flowers get really interesting, full of texture and crumbling grandeur that fresh flowers don't quite match

(I'm at a bit of a loss for how to describe macro photography of this type, where the function of the focus stacking and framing is to create something almost unreal. I've tried my best, but it's a bit anemic, isn't it? Ah well.)

i think it works out though. like there are familiar elements but also plenty of pieces that do get to that unreal or "different" appearance. i also think not a ton of people take time to look at flowers at this stage of life? which helps too

mmm i suppose thats fair. i feel like it does like. describe accurately whats within the images though you know? just maybe not to the depth that you're looking for. but the details being filled in by the reader could contribute to finding more depth there. idk.
