Oh yeah. I forgot the part where Anthropic destroys books to feed their AI fetish.

Feeding a book into an AI model is not digitising.

Cool. They built a digital library by digitizing the books they bought for research and later to train models. It quite literally is by any definition digitization.

That digitization has value only if it is shared publicly not kept privately for their own use and available only through AI models. That isn't digital archiving. The destroyed books, if unique, would then have prevented other public minded entities from digitizing it for public archival.

Do... do you think Claude has a mouth and teeth? Do you think these are literally being fed to the AI, with nothing left behind?

The machine, which is not the AI itself, doesn't have an animal mouth, but the process does literally tear the book apart. So the analogy to it being eaten is pretty solid. #Nuance
