Maybe a bad time to point out that models still really struggle with small composable tools

The Unix harness. It's drawing near. Small composable tools that work together needs to make a comeback against the slop towers in the harness space

If anything mass produced American milk chocolate has always been too cloyingly sweet to me and burns my throat. I much prefer bitter-ass dark chocolate here, in Europe the milk chocolate is more tolerable and I will *house* some chocofreta

The idea that American milk chocolate “tastes sour” is a textbook example of something invented out of whole cloth online and spread as an easy way to signal to your audience that you’re worldly and discerning just like they are. No it doesn’t. That isn’t true.

To be clear, maybe MM is a terrible parent; I certainly don't know but neither do all the people piling on

I’ve hinted at a major discovery we made that I can’t talk about, and the way the researcher who figured it out socialized it was with an interactive demo he has Claude spin up. Then I used Claude to explain the math to me and design a curriculum, as I’m not a mathemagician. It’s frankly incredible.

this is absolutely how doing math with ai feels these days. incredible read. my addition is that there is a VAST UNTAPPED POTENTIAL for explaining math with video/audio/interactive things that ANYONE can mine with ai help right now.

Anthropic cumulative operating loss since inception is only $12 billion and at their current run rate operating margin they will completely recoup that loss by Q1 27 even if revenue is flat. So much for “these companies will never make money” lmao

anti-AI is gamergate for the left

There's also the phenomenon where people will mass review bomb games they didn't buy or play simply for having an AI disclosure. This is punishing people for honesty! That's super fucked!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who spared a thought for my country today, who amplified information about the coup d’état attempt, and worried about Brazil’s democratic future—the world’s democratic future. We won! Women won! The Amazon won! Young people won! Democracy won! Hope won!

Don’t like AI and don’t understand why or can’t form your own thoughts? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered. (Don’t worry that this isn’t reviewed and reviewed citations are already enclosed)

Likely the most important thing I've ever written — if you're an academic and the AI mania unsettles you, here's my best shot at presenting some intellectual tools that might help you articulate why. arxiv.org/abs/2610.27251

What is it with all the names I recognize on here being completely unable to respond to anything but whatever it is they made up in their own head? (This is in response to saying there are likely studies on this very thing you could look up)

but because they used AI I'm sure this is Bad, Actually and it turns out watching advertisements is a sacred human experience
