My son’s driver’s ed kept reiterating, no screens while driving. No phones. Don’t be distracted. We have a loaner car that has a giant iPad on the dashboard and you have to operate it as a touchscreen while the car is moving at least sometimes. We decided this was a good idea?

People have been operating the car radio for decades, while drinking soda and eating. There’s hills to die on (ICE, Trump, etc) and this isn’t one of them.
