Our Bolt was in the shop for more than a week after we got rear ended. The insurance company gave us a rental, another Chevy but with an internal combustion engine. We *hated* it. The acceleration was poor and, worse, the power curve was completely nonlinear and very high latency.

But the worst part was the noise and vibration. And the engine switches state at every stoplight, so you can’t ever get used to it and filter it out - it intrudes on your consciousness continuously. Combustion-based cars really *are* acoustic vehicles. We are never going back.
