Accurate reaction. I felt the same when my Mom bought my cello when I was 14. My orchestra teacher was my 2nd Mom. A Jewish woman who mentored me with an iron fist. She told my Mom "If you buy her own cello she'll play for the rest of her life". She was right. I'm still playing the same cello at 49
