Funnily enough our farm-born cats we kept mostly indoors weren't picky at all. They of course caught a lot of their own dinner based on the rodent remnants on the lawn, but they'd also happily scarf down whatever dry or wet grub we tossed in their food bowl :)

My cat will only eat paté-style and it has to be mixed with hot water. XD

You've got to get the right food for your pet :3

My cat hates fish. On her first birthday, I bought salmon, cooked it up, cooled it off, gave it to her, NOT ONE BITE and she has never eaten seafood since. She's not even mad, it's just like, "Oh yes! Dinner! I'm starving! I'm starv... Actually, I'm fine! Thanks!" I thought you'd like to know.

That’s why I shop at the pet specialty store. I know what food my cat will eat and I can buy it by the case.
