Riding on a relatively rural road in Wisconsin. No speed limit signs since we got on the road. Apple Maps shows it is 25mph, Google Maps shows 35mph, and Wayze shows 55mph. 🤷‍♂️

I do a lot of speed limit mapping for OpenStreetMap. Most maps have a default speed limit for residential roads of 25 mph, Google Maps is probably doing some estimated average, and Waze is defaulting to some default county/state speed. You'd think it would be easy to figure out, but it's not.

Good to know! The strange thing- this was a rural highway. Every other similar road we were on had a 55mph speed limit. We went with 45mph… 🤣

Just drive the average? 🤣
